Managed Test Service
Insight's unique managed, three-tier delivery model provides clients with unrivalled flexibility and cost-effectiveness in mitigating risk in software deployment. It exploits Insight's core competence in software testing to ensure robust testing while permitting in-house personnel to focus on development and defect fixing.
It is a managed service in which Insight takes responsibility for testing to achieve agreed quality criteria and takes ownership for deliverables and resources using possibly mixed teams of customer, Insight and third-party personnel. Typically, Insight-managed teams will take a risk-based approach to testing and if appropriate may utilise Insight's products TestControlTM and OptimiseTM.
It is a three-tiered model, which provides for the most cost-effective service by carrying out testing activities at any or all of:
- Onsite, to maximise collaboration with customer personnel
- Near-shore, but easily accessible and in the same time zone e.g. in Ireland, to achieve significant cost savings and relieve pressure on space and facilities
- Off-shore e.g. in India, to achieve still further cost savings
Wherever testing is carried out, the test teams have active support from the centre in terms of delivery management, resource management and a wide range of specialist consultancy advice.
We adopt a flexible range of pricing models, including fixed-price and risk-reward, to provide the most cost-effective and affordable solution within the customer's purchasing constraints.
